In short
Teramind pricing is per monitored user, with a five-seat minimum. There are four plans: Starter for basic productivity monitoring, UAM for full activity monitoring and security investigation, DLP for content-aware data loss prevention, and Enterprise for tailored deployments. OCR is an add-on below Enterprise. Ask us for a quote.

How Teramind is licensed
Teramind's knowledge base sets out the licensing model:
- Per monitored user: each unique user being monitored uses one licence.
- Five-seat minimum: the smallest subscription is five seats.
- Monthly or annual: Starter, UAM and DLP are offered on monthly or annual subscriptions; Enterprise is quoted individually.
- What the subscription covers: Teramind says the subscription includes the software licence, its technical support and software updates for the term.
How people log on affects the count. The Revealed agent identifies each person by email address, so one worker is one user (signed in on one computer at a time). The Stealth and Standard agents create a record for each account that logs on: someone using the same domain account on several computers is still one user, but local accounts are counted per username and computer, and a person with a separate admin account uses a second licence. On terminal servers, each person monitored on the server counts; Teramind's older per-server licence is no longer offered to new customers. We work the numbers through with you so the quote matches how your people actually log on.
Scoping the licence count is also a legal question. The ICO expects you to use the least intrusive means that achieves your purpose, which often means monitoring particular roles or teams rather than everyone. Our guide to employee monitoring software pricing explains the wider cost factors.

Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and single sign-on integrations are listed on every plan, and Outlook calendar integration from UAM upwards. Teramind's pricing page lists SIEM integration in the UAM package; the SIEM, project management and Microsoft Purview integrations are currently reached through the Legacy interface rather than NextGen. Teramind's DLP features are covered in depth on Teramind DLP.
Which Teramind plan suits you
Start with the plan your stated purpose needs. Buying the top plan for features you cannot justify in a DPIA adds cost and legal risk.
- Starter: you mainly want productivity insight, time tracking and a way to identify users worth a closer look. Behaviour rules and forensics are limited.
- UAM: you need a complete audit trail for security investigations, rules without limits, anomaly detection and risk scoring, or coverage of email, files and printing. This is where keystroke logging appears, which the ICO gives as an example of high-risk processing that needs a DPIA.
- DLP: you need to stop sensitive data leaving, not just see that it did. Content rules can inspect what is pasted, emailed, uploaded or typed into AI tools, and warn, block or redact.
- Enterprise: you are a large or regulated organisation needing OCR at scale, custom field capture for in-house applications, scriptable rules or professional services from Teramind.
You can move up a plan later. Starting on the plan your current aims need and reviewing at renewal, once you have real data, keeps both cost and intrusion in proportion.

Add-ons and hosting costs
A few costs sit outside the plan itself:
- OCR: reading text from screen recordings so it can be searched. Teramind lists it as a paid add-on on Starter, UAM and DLP; it is included on Enterprise.
- Hosting: Teramind Cloud needs no server. Private cloud adds your AWS or Azure compute and storage; on-premises adds your servers and storage for recordings. In both, you also run updates and backups. See Teramind deployment options.
- Set-up and support: scoping, roll-out and configuration. We scope this with you and include it in the quote.
Recording storage is driven by your settings. Recording only when a rule is broken, lowering frame rates or limiting recording to certain applications all reduce it, and they usually reduce privacy intrusion as well.
Buying Teramind through Forever Systems
We supply Teramind and quote for your organisation; we do not publish prices because they depend on user numbers, plan, hosting and term. When you buy through us:
- One point of contact for licences, set-up, changes and renewals.
- Help with a trial: Teramind offers a free trial and a live demo, and we can help arrange a trial or pilot.
- A right-sized licence count, worked out with you by role and by how people log on.
To prepare a quote we need a few facts:
- How many people you want to monitor, and in which roles or teams.
- Your mix of Windows, macOS and Linux computers, and any terminal servers, Citrix or VMware Horizon.
- What you want to achieve: productivity insight, security investigation, data loss prevention or a mix.
- Whether you prefer Teramind Cloud, private cloud or on-premises.
- When you would like to start, and whether you want a pilot first.
Contact us with whatever you have and we can fill in the gaps together.
How Forever Systems helps with employee monitoring
We supply, set up and support Teramind for UK organisations. Monitoring only works if it is lawful and trusted, so we help you collect what you can justify rather than everything the product can record.
- Scoping: we talk through what you want to achieve, who and which devices are in scope, and which Teramind plan and hosting option fit
- Inputs for your paperwork: we explain what each setting records, so your data protection impact assessment and monitoring policy describe the real set-up
- Privacy-first configuration: recording schedules, exclusions, masking, role-based access and a visible agent where that is right for you
- Deployment: agent roll-out through your existing device management tools, plus the rules, alerts and dashboards that answer your questions
- Ongoing help: we can help your administrators tune rules, keep agents up to date and review plans and licence counts at renewal
We are an IT and cyber security provider, not a law firm: for legal questions about monitoring your staff, take advice from an employment or data protection lawyer. Ask us for a quote and we will reply with options.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Teramind cost?
Teramind is priced per monitored user per month, with the rate set by the plan, the number of seats and the term. We do not publish prices because they depend on your user count, plan and hosting. Ask us for a quote.
Is there a minimum number of Teramind licences?
Yes. Teramind's knowledge base says Starter, UAM and DLP have a five-seat minimum. Enterprise is quoted individually.
Can I pay for Teramind monthly?
Teramind offers monthly and annual subscriptions on Starter, UAM and DLP. When you buy through us, the term and billing are set out in your quote.
What is the difference between Teramind UAM and DLP?
UAM records full user activity (email, files, keystrokes, printing, online meetings and more) and adds anomaly detection, risk scoring and unlimited activity rules. DLP adds content awareness: rules that inspect what is being shared, sensitive data classification, fingerprinting, redaction and automatic blocking.
Is OCR included in Teramind?
OCR, which reads text from screen recordings, is included on Teramind Enterprise. On Starter, UAM and DLP Teramind lists it as a paid add-on.
Does each computer need a Teramind licence?
No. Teramind licenses monitored users rather than computers. With the Revealed agent a person is identified by email address. With the Stealth and Standard agents, one domain account used on several computers counts once, but local accounts are counted per username and computer, and separate admin accounts count separately, so shared or multi-account computers need planning.
